I like to imagine Kelso kept trying to change the belts on larger and larger things, until the things eventually won.
Reminds me of the time I changed an outlet fuse with a butter knife with electrical tape (and residual jelly & peanut butter) on it.
Well that's reassuring.
I could watch this on loop all day just to hear that clackety chugalug of a 67 Beetle.
