You know theres an interesting aspect of evolution/biology where populations of animals can arrive at an equilibrium with a certain ratio of a type of the animal that acts a certain way vs. another of the same species that acts a different way.

it's not like you actually see him die (he probably did) there's a shitload of videos here that show events that lead to death (girl tazed while running etc) but don't show it bud dwyer or vic morrow style

Games promote the fuck out of suicide. You ever play one of the Jak and Daxter or Ratchet and Clank games? You're near the top of some kind of climb, recently hit a checkpoint, but you miss a jump and go all the way to the bottom.

What do you do? Do you climb the whole fucking thing again? Fuck that, commit suicide, respawn at the checkpoint. It's way easier.
