Why amberlamps? Because there are black people in it?

So... Someone attacked a security guard, and he restrained himself within the confines of the law. He tries to resolve the situation without the taser - when she decides to assault him outright, he discharges the taser.
And then her boyfriend-husband threatens the guy ineffectually.
Did I miss anything?
(All stars for the nine year old screaming "that's why you gay". I wasn't ready for that.)
|
Cena_mark - 2013-02-02 That kid can't be older than 5. I love how the other kids chime in as well. "You gay, you gay, you gay."

|
Spoonybard - 2013-02-03 He could have tried apologizing for yelling at their kids, but why do that when you can ignore them like they don't exist, shove them away if they get too close, and shoot them with a taser if they shove back?
|
Cena_mark - 2013-02-03 It was too late for that. The woman went from 0 to complete irrational rage in less than a second. You don't let the terrorists win.

Change - 2013-02-03 that might have been the most priviledged and sheltered statement ever made ona PoE site.
Despite your interest in supplication, apologizing (or any compromise, in this instance) would have disempowered him, and empowered his attackers.
He never pushed, only pushed back (which is reasonable), and only enough to get distance betwen his attacker (which is what this woman was). That's self-defense 101.
He uses the taser once, when the attacker enters his property again and only when she attacks him violently, as an alternative to beating the shit out of her in front of her children - which was an option he had available by law. He discharged the gun once, and then allowed her to remove the prongs without another, unreasonable discharge.
And he made sure everything he did was on film, so anyone with an interest would know that he operated as reasonable, given the situation.
I know you'd love to dress this up as jackboot thug bullshit, but save it for when someone actually does something wrong.

Gee, I wonder if this video is going to be a Rorschach test for peoples' subconscious bigotry that the internet fails horribly at!

Why is this in a fisheye lens? Is it just me, or are there a lot of bright colors in this video?

Why would a mall cop have a taser?

Needs a 'ruined children' tag

SixDigitDebt - 2013-02-02
Those kids are going to turn out as fucking stupid as their parents.
|
Maru - 2013-02-02 I'm glad they saw their stupid mom get electrocuted in the street.
|
Cena_mark - 2013-02-02 I guess they have to learn that there are consequences to stupidity somehow.

People have donated over ,000 to this mall cop. I guess they want him to buy more tasers.
