The appeal of the character continues to elude me.
Still convinced the primary reason white kids like him is that quoting him is an excuse to drop N-bombs.

Binro the Heretic - 2013-02-06 Yeah, I wish they'd included more of the crazy Bob Ross knockoff instead of Uncle Ruckus.

Bort - 2013-02-06 Plus tuba music follows him around. I'd say "cracker" all the time if it would make tuba music.

American Standard - 2013-02-06 Supafly: You'd be surprised. I regard Dave Chapelle as a little egomaniacal, but he cites a measurable uptick in white fans casually N-bombing him as part of his reasons for quitting TV.

sosage - 2013-02-06 Society is too mentally lazy to detect and understand context.

thebaronsdoctor - 2013-02-06 It's sort of the biggest tragedy of The Boondocks (And really a lot of comedy that examines african american culture from a satirical standpoint) is the fact that it's continuously misinterpreted by dumb white people and used as an excuse for them to act racist.
I really wish more people who watched this show understood that there's a difference between Aaron McGruder satirically examining the group of people he belongs to and dumbass white teenagers calling people "Niggas" and insisting it isn't racist because they're using it to mean "ignorant motherfuckers"

memedumpster - 2013-02-07 I assumed this character exists to demonstrate the stupid crap black kids have to deal with as to why they are supposedly inferior, but a white character saying these things would have tanked the show in two episodes.
Ruckus is a black man saying these things because we're all still too racist a culture to be comfortable admitting its white people who talk like that constantly.
