Exactly. Hasselhoff does a great job of bringing enough tongue in cheek to the role to make it work. Samuel Jackson is great, but this is the Nick Fury I grew up with. He plays a comic book character like a comic book character. Alas, we'll never see that approach again.

Lisa Rinna, a former soap actress who has done commercials for Depends, must be a plastic surgery addict. She has the most obviously worked-on face I've seen since Michael Jackson. She looks unnatural, but she probably looks unnatural when she's sleeping.

Sandra Hess plays Viper. She was born in Switzerland, according to her IMDB page. So that accent is REAL??? You know it takes a special kind of bad acting to make a real accent sound phoney. And she is bad. Oh God, she's terrible. But in a spectacular, over-the-top way.

Fuck yes, a stupendously superior superhero movie to what Hollywood has been shoving up our ass for twenty years.
