In Vice's defense (I don't know why), this is from their series on web personalities. I dunno... that makes it a tad less sad for me.

How do you know the videos are fake?

There is a long and honored history of professional eaters who eat everything. There are unique medical conditions that allow this. Shoenice mentions Crohn's: I don't know if he has a system that immediately ejects everything that passes through him, but that might explain it. It's also possible he has something more rare and undiagnosed. There's a few glandular disorders I was able to find that could explain Shoenice's remarkable ability.

In any case, I don't think it's impossible. I hope he is able to help some people before he kicks the can.

Yeah, I believe in Shoenice, dammit. It's not like there's no precedent for his shtick; eating weird crap without resorting to sleight of hand is a well documented (if uncommon) carnie trick, like fire eating and sword-swallowing. Some French guy, Michel Lotito, ate a whole airplane in the late 70s. A whole airplane! Engines, seats, wings and all. If man can find a way to eat an airplane, he can triumph over glue.

Obviously, we can't confirm that he's really eating wood glue, but to my knowledge nobody's been able to offer proof that any of his videos are faked beyond sheer incredulity.
