The changes since this movie came out are interesting. On one hand, the internet has made it astronomically easier to get unsanitized news. Instead of scouring international wire services, I can check my Twitter feed once a day. On the other hand, mainstream political and media power has only become more concentrated.

I was told the way to make a porn name is to take your middle name as your first name and the street you grew up on as your last name. I didn't live on an actual street until college, so I'd be Henry Longren, which sounds like the lead in one of those "classy" pornos that couples rent to spice things up. And "long" is right in the name!
