Minoru Suzuki just bitch-slapping the shit out of people has replaced all of this repeated chop/kick/elbow nonsense from the AJPW crew for me. But, five stars for nostalgia.
Kobashi vs Samoa Joe at ROH about eight years ago was probably the stiffest wrestling match I've ever seen (and I was an ECW regular in the mid 90s). The chops were loud enough that you'd swear the air pressure changed each time, and after the match the two of them looked like their pectoral muscles were made of uncooked summer sausage.
I hate you for living in Philly/New York and getting to watch this stuff. Living in Vancouver, my indy highlights are the significantly more meager offerings of Bryan Danielson and Davey Richards beating up local jobbers. Although, at least I get to put on my cardingan and gloat about how I watched them before anyone knew who they were.
