I didn't see this video when it first came out; I just encountered it a few weeks after the whole Suey Park #CancelColbert nonsense. So I kind of calibrated myself against Suey Park, and perhaps partially because of that, this lady sounds like she's got it together and is being reasonable and insightful.
But I think I would have been on her side even in a better, Suey Parkless world. While she lays it on a little think about how much harm is done by wearing a geisha costume, her overall point stands that stereotypes are best avoided.
And I think she nails it at 8:00-8:35: being a bigot doesn't necessarily make you a bad person, because it may be unintentional, but at some level it's bad for someone else. And what makes you an asshole is not the bigotry, but if you refuse to take a good look at yourself and mend your ways if needed.
Rating: 8/10. Would ask out and get shot down.
