Fuck Hillary, Warren for pres

Nikon - 2013-04-13

My dream ticket is Sanders/Warren or Warren/Sanders.

baleen - 2013-04-14

Sanders/Warren would be a great way to steal 1% of the votes from the Centrist Democratic Party, thus allowing an ultra-right wing Republican Party to take over everything because nobody is going to vote Democrat when our country continues to fall apart in this bullshit austerity depression.

Oh and she should ask the guy behind her for a piece of gum!

HarrietTubmanPI - 2013-04-14

What are you smoking baleen? If Warren/Sanders ran for the Democrats in 2016 they would probably get some of the 'left leaning' republicans over, too. By the way, a lot of the higher ups in the GOP still have no clue why they lost in 2012, and a lot of them want to go even FURTHER to the right.

We might as well get some real strong liberals in the white house while we can - and while the GOP keeps putting people like Mitt and McCain up for president.

baleen - 2013-04-16

There are no "left leaning" Republicans left. However, there's a whole lot of Democrats that identify as conservative still, and that's really the thorn in the back of the Democratic coalition. While it wins a lot of support, it's hard to rally a broad based coalition.

In any case, if you think the national stage can be won by a socialist and a New England anti-bank crusader, you're delusional. I doubt such a matching would fare even as well as Ron Paul did, unfortunately.

The reason why Obama won 53% of the vote last year is because he's got an incredibly dynamic, organized campaign machine that is very well-established in battleground districts across the country, more so than any Republican contender ever has been. He is a centrist because the realities of the electorate, at least those voters that truly matter, demand him to be. This does not excuse his mistakes, it's just the electoral makeup of America.

I came.

Oscar Wildcat - 2013-04-13

Would.

Protoseth - 2013-04-13

Did.

We're talking about voting for her, right?

StanleyPain - 2013-04-13

I have nothing against Warren, I think she's great, but at the same time it's pretty fucking jaw-dropping that our political system and economy have gotten so fucked up that someone actually asking the pertinent and sensible questions is seen as some kind of "holy shit" moment.
Again, this is nothing against Warren...I love watching her deal with these stooges, it's just that it's a sad commentary that her demeanor is so revolutionary these days.

jangbones - 2013-04-13

I am positive that within a decade, she will either be marginalized and defeated, her political career over, or she will be working for the same banks she once tried to hold accountable for their crimes.

takewithfood - 2013-04-13

Yeah, I'm not impressed, either. This is rhetoric, a finger-wagging at best, and it's depressing to see people get so excited about it.

Stars for these guys being complete assholes, though.

jangbones - 2013-04-13

its the best we're going to get, ever

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2013-04-14

Five stars for Ratty McCuntface
