I first realized that CNN was actively, deliberately courting the "dumb" demographic when they hired Rick Sanchez years ago. This is just the latest confirmation of that fact.
Someone on PoE-News had a great story about meeting Wolf Blitzer in a grocery store; Wolf needed help understanding a carton of chicken broth. (The illustration on the box showed a fully-prepared soup including vegetables, noodles, and chicken, and Wolf wanted just the liquid.)
Ladies and gentleman, our ace CNN reporter, outwitted by a box of broth.
Reminds me of the KING OF THE HILL episode "Returning Japanese" where Peggy Hill has arrived in Japan, sees a Japanese garden, and says "You can really see the Japanese influences."
I was walking through a room with CNN on shortly after the whole thing happened and the reporter was saying "OH! SOMEONE SAID A POSSIBLY SAUDI ARABIAN GUY WAS SEEN RUNNING FROM THE EXPLOSION WHICH IS POSSIBLY SUSPICIOUS AND MIGHT MAKE HIM A POSSIBLE SUBJECT AND WILL POSSIBLY BE QUESTIONED BY POLICE POSSIBLY!"
I had no idea until that point that CNN had turned into Fox News Jr.
