So if I'm observing this face while not moving am I really able to grasp the reality of light's awesome illiusions or has time tricked me again?

It's late and I'm not sleeping again. Thanks poeTV.

Apparently people with schizophrenia aren't affected by this illusion.

Oh crap...

AHHHHH BRAIN!!! I hate that transition moment.

I'm pretty sure the paint hurts the illusion, because on this one, I can make myself see it correctly. But I am at the mercy of the unpainted variety.

Haunted Mansion had a bunch of these when I was a kid, it was (I thought) the coolest thing about the whole ride.

Optically, the best of the bunch IMHO is the DIY paper dragon someone posted on here http://www.poetv.com/video.php?vid=57337

Yeah, that one is great.

It's all an illusion of course, he's not really moving at all.

FAKE!

In person, I have to close one eye in order for it to work. Otherwise, my depth perception is just too strong.

At first when he turned what I thought was a painting, my brain began to pop. After the 90 degree point I realized what it was I was seeing ( not clear to me from the description ). Then the illusion popped, and when he turned it back around it did nothing for me. How odd.

well you probably shouldn't look at these unless you like brain pop:
