She's basically the female Voltaire and just about as shitty. (actually, that's a tough call)

She's a goth chick who likes to dance in frilly underwear and sing about the time she got raped and was in the mental hospital and is allegedly asexual despite the amount of sexual pandering she does

She's a genius, actually. She's created a unique fantasy identity out of nothing and is making money from it. She was a friend of a coworker of mine and I had a few drinks with her. I have to say, I was pretty charmed. I think I may have actually swooned.

Yeah, she was raped frequently through her childhood and does a lot of work with helping young people who have gone through the same. From what I understand, she created this alter-ego in this little girl that triumphs over those who would hurt children. I am not a huge fan of her music but I do think she's done something extremely impressive, and despite being "goth" in a seemingly derivative or mass market way, the world she has painted for her fans is very originally conceived. I can't really think of anyone who has done something similar to what she has managed to pull off with so little money or help.

But yeah how the fuck did this happen.

I guess if she actually helps people well that's something for them

But there's just something about her that fascinates yet annoys me simultaneously

It's like staring into the abyss but the abyss is a tremendous cocktease and slaps you for looking

She did say she was upset at the amount of sleaze she attracted. The list of men who offer her money for sex or who try to fuck her in exchange for favors is a long one. I guess she's digging around in the dirt of her own sexual issues and of sexual power in general. I've noticed this is a common tendency with women in the sex industry. More power to her and to them. I did not get the sense that she was literally asexual, but she does have some serious issues, but who wouldn't. Sexual abuse tends to stamp kids with hypersexuality, asexuality, or both.

Everything about this should have been awful but somehow it isn't. I bet her fans are unbearable, though.

I think many of her fans are probably on the whinier side of abuse and mental illness.
