What fighting games look like to normal people.

I've known people super into games of all the major genres but there's just something about fighting games that make the fans more terrible. I would rather be screamed at by dota players all day than dip my little toe into the fighting game circuit.

Yeah there are people like that but that's out of 32 million for LoL alone. Percentage wise I think only Counter Strike players are worse than fighting games.

It's just less visible online without typing or voice chat.

Fighting games are fun when you're just throwing a lot of fireballs and jump-kicks.

Fighting games are existentially gruesome when you meet a spergelord who counts frames and memorizes all those horrible auto-cancel in-double combo breakers.

I keep waffling on what I'm going to do with my GI Bill. I didn't like any of my last four jobs, or my current one, so as long as the government is willing to pay me to get another degree, I might as well do SOMETHING new. But what?

Augmented Reality. Gonna get a degree in engineering and make augmented reality games. I'll start with fighting games, then move on to dating games and social media RPGs.
