It's probably just the trailer's fault, but these lines are not that good.

That guy - 2013-05-27

Yeah, I'm not sure what to think of it, hence the submission. I love the Coen brothers.
I'm guessing this is going to be relatively dark and satirical in tone, like A Serious Man.

Bootymarch - 2013-05-27

It apparently had the crowd going wild at Cannes

chumbucket - 2013-05-27

I fell asleep watching this trailer. The trailer!

The Limper - 2013-05-27

I like the Dave Van Ronk album cover reference.

Toenails - 2013-05-27

I'm pretty sure I've seen this trailer before.

It's not something I'd want to see right away, but maybe I'd give it a shot sometime.

I dunno though, the Coens are like David Lynch. Everyone is going to have a favorite movie of theirs, and some people are going to consider this one their favorite, whether you like it or not. As far as I'm concerned, nobody is going to beat "Oh Brother, Where Art Thou?", and that's going to bias me from the beginning.

Maru - 2013-05-27

I don't know of anyone who considers Ladykillers or Intolerable Cruelty as their favorite Coen movies.

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2013-05-28

A Serious Man, followed up by Barton Fink, and then Fargo for me.

I pretty much unabashedly love everything they do.

Ursa_minor - 2013-05-28

Raising Arizona for me.

kingarthur - 2013-05-28

Raising Arizona, Fargo, and The Big Lebowski.

Adham Nu'man - 2013-05-28

This can't be worse than Intolerable Cruelty.

I liked the ladykillers, although it's obviously not one of their best.

I'd go with Miller's Crossing, No Country for Old Men and The Big Lebowsky.

jreid - 2013-05-27

Something about the camera work & muffled audio & cheap over-processing & stilted acting/script makes this look like your typical Made for Vimeo artfilm slash student project slash indie Kickstarter clichefest.

Are the Cohens trying to prove that they're still 'street' in spite of all their fame and fortune?

jreid - 2013-05-27

"The first feature film edited entirely in iMovie!"

That guy - 2013-05-28

You are out on a skinny branch with that critique. Stilted or arch acting fits the tone of some of their movies quite well. The only real question is the story.

memedumpster - 2013-05-28

I think the target audience for this movie is Xanax.

That guy - 2016-10-13

usux

Adham Nu'man - 2013-05-28

Kittie!

oswaldtheluckyrabbit - 2013-05-28

Fuck y'all, it's the Coens. They're better than you.
