They did have one earlier movie, starring everyone's hated blue dick, Ryze. Seriously, Riot. Stop making Ryze the hero of your movies. Nobody likes him, not even the people who play him.
The Twisted Fate portion was the best part. It was faster paced and more dynamic. The rest were Itchy & Scratchy intro for how creative they were.
Game rant:
Used to play this game all the time but haven't been too crazy about it lately. I think it finally passed DotA 2 as the MOBA for hardcore cretins. DotA 2 games are lot looser with team and lane compositions. LoL is now hardlocked into that meta nonsense where you have to have brawler/AP/support+adc on top/mid/bottom and everyone will scream over it.
I could see worrying about that at top levels of play, but every chuckle head in low unranked games shits bricks about it. The people who gets ganked by the jungler 5 times and never buying a ward will scream endlessly about having a slightly less efficient setup that only a pro would be able to exploit anyway. It's the equivalent of someone at the company softball game freaking out that you don't break out a new ball every time one touches the ground.

FABIO - 2013-06-01 It's a shame because I really loved the fact that LoL was the casual option while Heroes of Newerth and DotA 2 contained all the worst people.
It really has completely flipped around though. You can pretty much pick whoever you want in DotA2 and the most bitching you'll get is "3 carriers gg". LoL will get you endlessly bitched out by some kid who autolocks his mid pick then screams at you for not only not picking a support, but not picking the support that HE wants you to play. How is it LoL got that anal?
It sucks because LoL has by far the friendlier mechanics. HoN/DotA force you to memorize 80 shop item hotkeys and every item's unique effect. Although even LoL took a step in that direction with the last patch that introduced all the new items, items that you get more for the special effect than the stats which forces more catass memorization.

Scrimmjob - 2013-06-01 i only started playing this about a year ago, pretty much the whole time you will have one person on your team spamming so and so is a faggot, or something along those lines. I started playing dota2 about a month ago, and everyone has been really laid back. It might have something to do with dota2 having a semi closed beta?

Meh, an associate of mine loves this game. Defends the culture with a sorta broken argument that the community acting the way it does creates 'necessary gatekeeping' to keep new people out and a semi stable, constant community of misanthropes.

Countless choices but only one real way to go 'and you can spot the noob because he did or did not put three points in what the fuck ever'. So added shibboleths to quickly identify and crush somebody who does not know what they are doing and 'wandered into the wrong damned neighborhood'.
