The city has been installing new bike racks like crazy for the last year or so. This dude probably could have put in a request for one and had it done legally instead of going through all this bullshit.

Five stars for drilling into the sidewalk without any consideration of pipes/fibre/mains/steam/etc.

In Dublin that bike would be stolen fast...
Only one lock (and a small shitty one at that)
Also the wheels are not locked so they would be stolen even faster.
Also only two tiny little bolts securing the bike rack to the path, that would be gone fairly fast too..

There has always been a thriving stolen bike market in Dublin it seems.. Its shit!!
