Yeah, it's a pretty neat toy.

simon666 - 2013-06-03

God I hate it when people speak comprehensively about banal crap.

Meerkat - 2013-06-03

FREEDOM!

Hooker - 2013-06-03

There are a surprising number of adults taht are obsessed with Nerf toys. It's pretty sad.

Cena_mark - 2013-06-03

I think its because they are pretty, but you could never get the big bad ones you wanted as a kid. Once you grow up you can afford to spend 50 dollars on a gun that shoots foam.

RedRust - 2013-06-04

As an adult NERF collector, wouldn't say that it is "sad" as a hobby. Perhaps if one was obsessed with the product line.. However, collecting NERF toys is more of an escape, a relief from the day-to-day drudgery of work. Being able to load up various blasters and fire them off in the house indiscriminately while the wife yells in annoyance is therapeutic. Furthermore, the "classic" series of NERF guns can be pricey if purchased with all original accessories. I purchased a NERF missile blaster for on eBay in working condition. As Cena_Mark stated, it is also the ability to purchase the higher end NERF guns that were once unable to be obtained during one's childhood.

Looking forward to the rerelease of the Nerf Bow 'N Arrow...

I recently threw out my glow in the dark Nerf Gatling gun with strobe light that used to so entertain us ten years ago during spontaneous Nerf battles. Then, one day, someone hit me with a foam football, I had a flashback, and nearly killed them before I knew what was happening. They recommended electroshock therapy for my NPTSD, but I said fuck that, and the Nerf VA. I'd rather have soft, foamy nightmares three times a week than be a goddamned vegetable.

Nerf, or nothing.

Hooker - 2013-06-04

There's a lot of things I was unable or unallowed to buy when I was a child. Then, when I grew up, I didn't want those things any more.

It's so weird to me that people hang onto their wishes and desires that they had when they were eight.

Mother_Puncher - 2013-06-03

THIS IS WHAT FREEDOM SOUNDS LIKE

chumbucket - 2013-06-03

Riskbreaker - 2013-06-03

Mister Yuck - 2013-06-04

Okay.

Gmork - 2013-06-04

haha they fly off in every direction the second they leave the barrel

The Mothership - 2013-06-04

This is more depressing than the fat swordsman.

SolRo - 2013-06-04

back in my day our NERF ammo had fins and would generally go in the direction fired!

RedRust - 2013-06-04

Yes, the NERF missiles and arrows had fins.

Old_Zircon - 2013-06-04

Those Nerf missiles that you shot of your finders had fins, but if you took the fins off they went twice as fast and looked like clown boners so that's what everyone did.

RedRust - 2013-06-04

I was unaware of the NERF missile fin clown boner hack. Missed out on that...

Jet Bin Fever - 2013-06-04

I like the way it gets carried by the wind.

Lord_Crocodilicus - 2013-06-04

People are using these things outdoors?

Old_Zircon - 2013-06-04

If it's not a first generation Super Soaker 200 I'm not interested.

Cena_mark - 2013-06-04

Super Soakers sucked before the CPS.
