Maybe we work in a gastroenterologist's office, making this both educational and work safe.

It was on the recent Shezow posting where folks here were discussing the origins of many fetishes coming from cartoons. What's responsible for vore? Pinocchio?

EvilHomer - 2013-06-08

I don't know if there's any one source. Some cartoon sequences, like the Kaa scene from Jungle Book, are definitely linked to fetishes. Others, like femdoming Maleficent from Sleeping Beauty, and every episode from season one of Inspector Gadget, are probably linked to fetishes, although the connection is not always so explicit. You have to do a bit of digging around to find out where your average fan of preteen kidnapping got their peculiar kink from.

Vore is really broad, so who the hell knows. In all my years studying voreaphiles, I have not heard any one thing cited more than another. Almost all of them are furries, and the majority seem to be interested in strong, predatory women. The rest tend to be gay. There's a lot of crossover with the macro/giantess community, but surprisingly, not a lot with the cannibal/ Dolcett community (some crossover traffic exists, but it tends to be one-way, and the gurophiles who like vore tend to gravitate towards the non-gay-shemale-giantess fringes of the vore scene). Some subfetishes within the broader vore community are explicitly sexual and do seem to be formed "naturally" after the fact, like unbirthing and cockvore. I don't think vorries need a Disney cartoon to tell them why absorbing Star Fox into your penis would be, ugh, "sexy". But the standard vore scenario is so very specific, and so very focused on the non-sexual aspects of the act, that it's reasonable to assume people are getting this stuff from the cartoons they watched as children.

Pinocchio's whale scene, I haven't heard that many voreaphiles discuss it, but that doesn't mean it isn't a significant contributing factor. The idea of being swallowed by a predatory animal and living long enough to see the animal's insides is a fairly common trope in older cartoons, but Pinocchio may well be the earliest cartoon example (no idea; anybody here a cartoon expert who can confirm/deny this?) and, if it set the standard for all subsequent vore cartoons, in that sense I guess we could say Pinnochio is vore's original Ur-Fuel. But if we're going that far back, why not go back further, to the inspiration for that scene, the story of Jonah and the Whale?

It's the Bible. The Bible is to blame for vore.

I'm into blondes, and the new DSM says that's a crazed sexual fetish. I actually feel awful for the next 20 years of these kinds of people seeking therapy. I don't think they'll be treated very humanely or with any kind of dignity.

I read a book once called Dreams of Being Eaten Alive by David Rosenberg, wherein he talked about eating Satan's babbies and other vore (he did not use that term) in old Jewish literature. It was neat!

This is a dupe from just like two days ago...

Yuck. She doesn't wipe.

Toenails - 2013-06-08

I know. And then she sat on the bed right afterwards....

Gah-ross!

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Nononononono! Nooo, noooo, awww come on noooooo.

This is the brony from "Christmas With Fluttershy". That was a landmark video for me; as dorky and maybe a little creepy as it was, it was really well done, and it's one of the things that (eventually) won me over and convinced me to give the show a chance. Just last week, I was wondering about this guy, who he was and what else he was doing. I should have known better, oh god, I should have known better...

I feel like an altar boy who just stumbled upon his priest's secret rape dungeon. It's a total mindfuck, yet somehow, in the back of your brain, you knew already.

Simillion - 2013-06-08

Fucking revolting, but excellent use of some old dude's endoscopy video.

kingarthur - 2013-06-08

You know what sets this apart? Technique.

mashedtater - 2013-06-08

i agree. the production quality really suffered as the video went on though

baleen - 2013-06-08

You win.

I don't have to watch this, I knew pretty much what it was before I got to the "(NWS)" in the title.
