Mozart sampled it but the tune that became "Twinkle Twinkle, Little Star" (and the "Alphabet Song" and "Baa Baa Black Sheep") was originally called "Ah! vous dirai-je, Maman", published in 1761 in Paris in "Les Amusements d'une Heure et Demy" and attributed to a M. Bouin. Mozart's version was 24 years later, in 1785 (though he is thought to have heard the original tune while staying in Paris in 1778).

Also, I like how Ann and Jane Taylor anticipated the ability to not only record music but also play it backwards so that kids can hear their super-secret subliminal message in the lyrics Jane Taylor published in 1806, around 70 years before Thomas Edison started tinkering with recording and playing back audio.

If you aren't watching the subtitles during the backwards part, it's nearly impossible to hear what they're claiming it says. The McGurk Effect, or something similar?

Oh, is the McGurk effect something like the paranoid schizophrenic woman in San Diego who claims she hears "gangstalking" everywhere and has hundreds of video files of muffled audio where people in the background could be saying anything? (Look up "ExposeSocialServices" on Youtube to hear what I mean.)
