That would be Murray Monster, who announces various segments (yes, Sesame Street has segments these days, and classic-style street squences as presents all together as their own segment) and does a couple of his own segments, all of which are set in the 'real world'. In that sense, he's kind of like Uncle Traveling Matt in Fraggle Rock. So at least he's kept seperate from everything else.
