I like how all the female characters look like little girls that I can jerk it to.

candyheadrobot - 2013-06-25

...Nope, couldn't do it with the metal face errector set arm thing. I surrender my power glove to you sir.

Caminante Nocturno - 2013-06-25

Starting a complaint with "I like how" is the kind of thing only assholes do.

baleen - 2013-06-25

I like how much I like you Caminante Nocturno.

American Standard - 2013-06-25

Yeah. Unless this is supposed to be some time in the past (and I suspect it is, by the flash we saw of the chief with brown hair as opposed to white), not down with Kusanagi's little-girl-i-fi-cation.

SolRo - 2013-06-25

it is in the past

candyheadrobot - 2013-06-25

I hope this is better than RE: Cyborg 009, Kenji Kamiyama has been slipping a bit on his stories as of late.

SolRo - 2013-06-25

It is better, in my opinion at least.

SolRo - 2013-06-25

though to be honest, anything is better than the ending of RE: Cyborg

candyheadrobot - 2013-06-25

It could be that he's more of a series writer than film, in which case I can trust in GITSA, but he had way too much going on there. A plot with black ghost would have sufficed, but a film about angels and god in under 3 hours, not so much.

SolRo - 2013-06-25

I'm just going to call RE: Cyborg a shitty story that is half decent for the first half but by the end made you wish you hadn't wasted your time.

It could have been a 24 part series and it still would have sucked without major changes.

SolRo - 2013-06-25

(though the nuking of Dubai and ICBM vs AEGIS interceptor sequences were pretty awesome)

candyheadrobot - 2013-06-26

Def agree. Thinking about it, he was probably trying to avoid sounding redundant with the 'ghost' concept from SAC, by working that mystic angle. Needs a lot more than that to make sense with robot people though.

And yeah, the action was surprisingly good. From the looks of it Arise has some of that flair going for it, which is nice since most of the action in SAC was second fiddle compared to the stories.

Caminante Nocturno - 2013-06-25

I'm glad that the Tachikomas are back and that they're still talking.

Kid Fenris - 2013-06-25

You know, I don't like her hair. She doesn't look right without big ol' bangs.

zerdzer - 2013-06-26

what happened to her black hair?
