I haven't seen this show since was a child, I didn't expect this scene to be so well done.

Miami Vice can take the credit (or blame) for changing the look of television cop shows. When you add in Mann's directing of Manhunter, you can add in the CSI franchise as well for good measure. The acting is often lacking, and the soundtrack can be horribly dated, but it was very influential for sure.
