I always found this theory quite fascinating. Neverless, and as far as i know, there's still no solid evidence that these lost cosmonauts existed.

I guess the only people who could really confirm it would be the Russian govt, and if they haven't yet they probably never will.

I figure eventually Putin will just steal one of our dead astronauts and promise to get us another one.

if it's not out by now it either never happened or was so thoroughly covered up/erased that it would make the CIA jealous.

Creepy, but I understand that some of these Russian translations are pretty far off. Like the woman saying "I'm hot! I'm hot!" Apparently, she's saying something more like "Keep it up! Don't quit!"

What about Soyuz 1? The parachute didn't deploy, Vladimir Komarov died on impact after re-entry.

And the crew of Soyuz 11? They did die in space after their cabin depressurized on undocking with their service module. Ground crews had already lost contact for re-entry prep and the crew wan't found to be dead until they opened the capsule on the ground, but autopsies and the investigation found they had died of asphyxiation while still in space when the explosive bolts misfired and broke open the cabin pressure valve.

The Russians have coughed up plenty of info about these events, and even how Gagarin's flight technically shouldn't count at the first spaceflight because the ejected 8,000 feet off the ground and didn't land with his craft, I don't know what they would be protecting at this point.

And the voice saying "I am hot" sounds nothing like Soviet radio protocol, and if that is supposed to be re-entry the radio wouldn't be working anyway at that point. There needs to be a lot more evidence than this, especially given this phenomenon:
