How could i just find out about him?

SolRo - 2013-07-03

I...can't even make a poor attempt at a witty or sarcastic comment.

I have no fucking clue. You are a modern caveman.

Old_Zircon - 2013-07-03

It is a mystery.

Old_Zircon - 2013-07-03

~16:30, I used to know a guy who had a similar idea of self defense but I don't think he ever used it. In at least three different conversations he said that the next time someone tried to mug him, instead of being passive or running he was going to whip his dick out and rush at the mugger, swinging a fist with one hand and jerking off with the other, because he was convinced that it would scare off anyone.

SteamPoweredKleenex - 2013-07-03

Stephen Fry had a sort-of-similar defense for when he was being beaten up in school. He'd cover his head and cry, "Stop! Stop! You're giving me an erection!"

exy - 2013-07-03

Good show.

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2013-07-04

Prickly Pete - 2013-07-03

To those who might wish to "torrent" these shows:

Look, I don't really get the whole "torrent" thing. I don't know enough about it to judge either way. But I'd just like you to consider this: I made these files extremely easy to use against well-informed advice. I was told that it would be easier to torrent the way I made it, but I chose to do it this way anyway, because I want it to be easy for people to watch and enjoy this video in any way they want without "corporate" restrictions.

Please bear in mind that I am not a company or a corporation. I'm just some guy. I paid for the production and posting of this video with my own money. I would like to be able to post more material to the fans in this way, which makes it cheaper for the buyer and more pleasant for me. So, please help me keep this being a good idea. I can't stop you from torrenting; all I can do is politely ask you to pay your five little dollars, enjoy the show, and let other people find it in the same way.

Sincerely,
Louis C.K.

You can pay for it here:

Hehe, that's from his website. I'm not implying I am he, in case that isn't patently obvious.

Maru - 2013-07-03

I paid the five bucks. Louie made a clean couple million, and the whole experiment was declared an unmitigated success by everyone. Don't worry about "keeping it a good idea"; it's officially been a good idea for like two years now.

Adjuvant - 2013-07-03

It's on Netflix Instant, too.

Bootymarch - 2013-07-03

Yeah, he's rich enough.

Sexy Duck Cop - 2013-07-03

Oddly enough, not as rich as you'd think. Louis' comedic philosophy is that resting on his laurels will cause his act to immediately stagnate, so to keep the fear of God within him he usually dumps his earnings into his next project immediately, sometimes renting out the venue long before he even has his act ready. Plus, his TV show's budget is nonexistent; he gets about 100k per episode to pay EVERYONE, including himself. I don't have any solid figures, but I wouldn't be shocked if his bank account contains less than a million dollars.

Bort - 2013-07-03

Louis CK claims (and I believe him) that he gives his people bonuses, he gives to charities, and he even helps out other comedians as he can (like Tig Notaro). Giving to Louis CK is likely to mean a couple bucks going to someone who deserves it (or at least could really use it, if you're getting hung up on "deserves").

Sexy Duck Cop - 2013-07-03

Other comedians have backed up his claims of blowing most of his money on charity and pet projects. Lool up "sarah silverman louis ck " on Youtube for a firsthand account of this.

baleen - 2013-07-04

I paid for the Beacon Theater show the week it was posted, only to see Netflix put it up for free several months later. Damn you Louis CK Netflix World Order!

Siebenstein - 2013-07-04

Same here. It's not his best special, but I don't regret paying for it. At least watch in on Netflix.

lotsmoreorcs - 2013-07-03

for the dolphin hat bit.....and everything else

Deplorable - 2013-07-03

Totally paid.

chumbucket - 2013-07-04
