5 stars for live action Cartman

These kids are wimps, we used to fill the bottle up with water.

Oh, and we didn't bother with a game either, just put on the Billy and the Boingers flexidisc and hit each other over the head.

That's how I ended up here.

We used to play a game called Quarters where you spun a quarter and then the other kid had to keep it spinning; if he failed to keep it going you got to flick the quarter into his knuckles.

First one to bleed was the winner?

That's how I ended up here.

I only just recently learned that unlike my grade school, most people grew up with "wall ball" bing some kind of modified dodgeball, not the game where one person stood against the wall and could only lift one foot at a time (no taking steps, either) while the other person threw tennis balls (or super balls if they had them handy) at them as hard as they could.

Officially it wasn't allowed but it happened as often as possible anyhow.

That sounds like what we called Butts-Up. Then again we had a game called "Push." You guessed it- you push the other person until he/she fell over. I still have a scar from "Push."

Quarters was popular with our school (for reasons I can't possibly explain), but I always knew it as 'Bloody Knuckles'.

Then there was slaps, that game where if you catch someone looking at a circle you make with your thumb and index finger below your waist means you get to punch them, and something similar to wall ball, only with soccer balls and you had to kick them.

We didn't have Quarters at my school, but we did have Spoons, which is a card game where you keep passing cards until someone gets a set (all cards in a matching suit). Once someone had a set, everyone would grab for a pile of spoons in the middle of the table (with 1 less than there are players). The person that didn't get the spoon got whipped on the back of the hand with spoons by everyone else.

Sometimes called The Circle Game. I imagine Joni Mitchell is unamused:

I bet these kids would get a kick out of Gaki no Tsukai.

When this got boring we'd just have rock fights. My dentist can attest to the permanent damage.

RocketBlender - 2013-07-25

Anyone else here used to hold those little 'moon rocket' fireworks by the stick as you lit them before aiming at your friend and letting go?

Good times.

Often, with surprisingly no injury.

Scurrie - 2013-07-25

Are they emulating The Stamp Show?

Jet Bin Fever - 2013-07-25

Aww, their little developing skulls are so squishy too!

Cena_mark - 2013-07-25

The game should be called Cena, Rock, Scissors, because Cena beats Rock.

I don't know where anyone gets the idea that girls are smarter than boys....
