Stating the obvious: I reckon you would only be able to bite through a bacon bowl cleanly if you had razor sharp fangs..

I was expecting something more along the lines of Puppy Bowl.

There was a reason no one had developed this yet, and I don't think it was a lack of inspired genius.

Reminds me of a weird dream I had years ago.

I dreamed I was passing through the living room and an ad for KFC happened to start playing on TV at the moment. They were promoting their new item, "The Side Shoe".

The Side Shoe was a woman's high-heeled shoe made from flour tortillas pressed into a mold. They would fry the Side Shoe in your choice of regular or extra-crispy batter then fill it with your choice of side: mashed potatoes & gravy, baked beans, macaroni & cheese, cole slaw or potato salad.

I dreamed I turned the TV off out of disgust, both culinary and cultural.

I've made smaller versions of these to hold bite size BLT salads as appetizers before. You can use a foil ball to make any size you want. They hold up well, but you need to bake the crap out of the bacon to get it there, plus those bowls are really only good for a few hours, tops, before they loose that crispiness.

Thanks to the whole bacon fandom thing, I'm practically ashamed to use it these days. I've actually been talking to people about something like a potato bar for their buffet before, some asshole in the group shouting "OMG(yes, they sounded it out) Yes bacon! We need some amazing bacon for this! Yes!" I felt dirty for even suggesting it.
