Holy fuck, I almost totally forgot about this movie.

My devoutly Catholic aunt was gah-gah over this thing and the book it was based on. For years, she pushed people to read/watch them.

She's still very Catholic and very crazy.

That's weird, considering that Hal Lindsey frequently conflates the Antichrist with the Pope. He's still up and operational, 35 years later.

Weird. I guess her love of Armageddon outweighed her love of the Pope.

Of course, as I said, she is crazy.

She may be Catholic, but she's an American, not a Papist.

Your aunt would probably love the Cristero War, a giant reactionary shit all over history beloved by conservative Catholics around the world.

I meant to say "For Greater Glory," which is about the Cristero War.

Welles: The Drunk Years

I love Orson Welles.

"Does Hal Lindsey know I'm an atheist? No? Well, sure, I'll take his money. Now pass me that ham and a bottle of Chianti"

Its pacing towards the beginning is kinda Bergman-y. Also, the witch is hot!
