The bigger flaw here is that he never praises any of these people.

Confusing Paul Ryan with Rand Paul is a pretty easy mistake. I've found switching the names myself.

He praises Ron Paul and Rand Paul for their "principled positions" and glazes over the Drudge question with pleasantries. He is pretty supportive of them because they support his positions, he's clear about that, but then, without going into detail, says their hardline libertarian views can be simplistic and that they "undermine" those principles. He is pretty clear about that. It is not Assange's job to take political positions, it's his job to leak things. He very delicately and politely handles the questions.

Is Obama part of the ever-growing war machine? He seems to be for "getting us off a wartime footing," and has proposed military cuts and increases in UN contributions, whiling cutting aid to places like Egypt. Neither of these things were imaginable 6 years ago. Cutting 0B from the Defense Budget (down from his original proposal of 0B!!!) seems pretty rational to me. How difficult it is to pass anything with any kind of defense cuts, especially with places like Virginia and Texas determining elections.

I was surprised when I discovered Rand Paul was indeed a real person and not a nickname for Ron Paul.

I firmly, truly believe that Mitt Romney chose Paul Ryan on the logic and frankly low esteem of his own voter base that they'd confuse him for Ron Paul. In fact, I'm dead certain of it, considering Paul Ryan was actively sabotaging Romney on the hopes that it would make him more visible forthe 2016 ticket.

There's no way to really sugarcoat abortions. They are horrible things to have and horrible things to go through.

He didn't say he was against abortion at all, he said that the interaction between Libertarians' non-violent stance and rebublican partisanship produces "interesting" results and then enumerated them.
