Does the US have loads of problems? Yes. Are they enough to cause riots? In most parts of the world, I'd expect at least some, but we've got a few more luxuries and distractions in the way before that happens.
HOWEVER, once your resume includes appearances on Glenn Beck, Alex Jones, and Coast-to-Coast along with a heavy investment in survivalist merch, your credibility takes a pretty severe hit.
People like this seem to be filling the void the Weekly World News issues that headlined "Psychics predict U.S. destroyed by Meteor after Jesus Returns" used to occupy.

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2013-08-27 They actually did a lot of great stories for a few years but this year they took a huge nosedive. They lost all credibility when they backed Putin over the anti gay laws and had a panel of discussion about the call for boycotting Sochi but it had absolutely no one advocating that position and was just a panel to convince everyone that Russia wasn't as bad as some OTHER countries when it came to gays and this was all only about gay propaganda to children...WHICH DOESN'T EXIST.
But yeah they are on a crash course for flushing all their credibility down the toilet, not that anyone will care.

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2013-08-27 I pretty much gave up on them when they claimed the Tsarnaev brothers were innocent and it was all a conspiracy, when there is video of them shooting at police. Their forums are basically just all Alex Jones supporters at this point, which is when I bailed.

I made my monthly call to my parents today. They both proceeded to tell me that the US government is having Russia send over 15,000 of their troops to do an exercise with FEMA in Virginia to test out implanting computer chips for the mark of the beast for the antichrist under Obama's instructions.
When I asked them where they heard this nugget of information, they said 'Its all on Youtube, search FEMA ZONE 3, the mainstream media is keeping it under wraps!"
I tried to explain to them how the internet and Youtube works, and that any idiot, even them, can submit any nonsense they wish. They just couldn't understand, and my explanation fell on death ears.

The merger of state and corporate powers is called corporate state-ism. It's always been a close part of fascism but is not required for it to happen. Note also that all but the tiniest fascist governments have always existed in conditions of total war, in which situation corporate state-ism is all but unavoidable.
