The proper way to listen to this is to hold a lit zippo aloft and head-bang.

I pray to God no asshole ever gets it into their head to remake "Krull".

SteamPoweredKleenex - 2013-09-08

I'd say that's unlikely, at least in the near future.

They aren't even releasing it on Blu-Ray, and any producer will look at the fact that it cost somewhere around million to make and earned back only about million.

Here's hoping it continues to escape notice. It's the last movie I feel still belongs to my childhood. All the others have been thoroughly raped by sequels, prequels, remakes, reboots or rip-offs.

I fear seeing this one done up Zack Snyder style with sepia tones, grime, slow motion, horribly obvious CGI and actors being too intense.

I don't think I've ever seen this MLP episode. Was it a tribute to Queen?

The bit in "Feeling Pinkie Keen" where Twilight evolved into a Rapidash was originally going to be an extended sequence with the whole gang (minus Pinkie) blowing their tops, bursting into flame, and stampeding around the Froggy Bottom Bog. Sadly, the scene and the music, were left on the cutting room floor.

On a more serious note, I watched this movie the same year I started playing D&D in summer daycare. Which makes it one of the most awesome movies of the year, no matter what the critics say.

Is Krull a good movie? I've seen it many times and I just don't know.

HarrietTubmanPI - 2013-09-08

The movie itself isn't the best, but the soundtrack is incredible and underrated.

Binro the Heretic - 2013-09-08

It's awesome provided you are a thirteen-year-old heavily into D&D and it's 1983, but probably not otherwise.

I guess what I'm saying is it's not a timeless movie or even a good movie, but if you saw it under those circumstances it can hold a special place in your heart.

The performances are excellent. There were a lot of british actors who knew how to make silly roles and hokey dialogue come out well. It had Liam Neeson in it, if that tells you anything.

It's a pretty cool 80s fantasy kind of movie with some great set design and effects. James Horner's soundtrack is also pretty legendary. I loved it when I was a kid and I still think it's an entertaining movie, if not a little stiff.

Horner's Soundtrack +1000
He did this on the heels of The Wrath of Khan, and in some ways I think he outdid himself.

A younger me thought The Beastmaster was way cooler, adult me thinks this is the better movie.
