Well that was embarrassing.

It's not much of a conga line if they're not holding on to the pony in front of them.

Five stars for there being a convention for this.

freedoom - 2013-09-16

dude, there's like 15 different brony conventions...

I got nothin

Are those people in the pony fursuits at the start of the line from Anthrocon? I think I've seen them in the annual furry parade.
I can't wait til some paranoid bible-thumping parent interrupts this as the latest thing destroying our children.

No. Knock it off.

At this point I'm so numbed to this batshittery that all that stood out to me was the person dragging a tripod around on the floor instead of holding it at the center of gravity, which makes a much better makeshift steadicam.

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2013-09-16

I'm not immune to this.

I saw the first two episodes of this stupid show and thought it was hilarious that it existed. I even emailed it to a couple people ironically.

Now it has become its own dystopia. Wonderful.

Carousel horses... renew... renew...

I was drinking at a bar while the other half was outside buying some shit an I started chatting with some girls from out of town. I commented on one of their Hello Kitty tattoos and one of them asked me if I was a brony.

I said no and she said that her friend there had forced her to go to a brony convention that happened that week in the city because it sounded hilarious. She said that everyone was too scared to chat them up and it was a nice sight seeing tour.

I don't know where I was going with this, but two pretty non-brony ladies survived a brony con without incident so that's nice.

EvilHomer - 2013-09-16

I've never been to a con, but I can't imagine they'd be that bad. As a community, we poesters tend to focus on the worst aspects of the exhibits in question. And that makes sense, because people at their worst are usually also people at their most amusing. We're not "Portal of Poetv Watches People Eat Breakfast and Walk Their Dog".

Most of the bronies I've seen are fairly normal, at least as far as nerds go. I don't know too many IRL, so I could be wrong, but someone once said that bronies were basically high-functioning anime fans, and I'd be inclined to agree with that. So I'm not surprised that some Hello Kitty girls managed to survive a brony con without a horrifying incident.

If I ever go to a Brony-Con, which I'm not planning on doing, would you guys like me to film what happens? I could go all Herzog on the place.

In some ways, bronies make furries seem almost quaint - perhaps it's how overall general furrydom was the end result of years of different influences and inputs and sicknessess mixing together and slowly coagulating into the fandom as we knew it on old PoE and the MLP fandom madness seemed to spring forth almost fully formed and out of nowhere.

You here the cries in defense that people who look askance at the bronies do so because of a challenge to gender roles blah blah blah but really it's sad and kind of freakish to become so obsessed with a childrens' cartoon show, to make it a part of one's indentity. It's pretty sad and weird to do so with any TV show, for that matter.

I'm so tired of this. How many more pony videos can this site hold?
