Is sriracha sauce just brilliantly marketed or is it just another product everyone thinks it's trendy to buy? It's getting pretty annoying at this point.

I'm more of a Sudden Death or Dave's Insanity Sauce man, m'self when I'm at home. At restaurants, I'll ask for everything to be five stars or for them to bring the spice tray. That's not bragging, BTW, as I have many friends who are TRULY heat-seekers. I'll get my seafood noodle soup brown with spice where it's supposed to be red, whereas theirs is black and probably could be used to scour Pyrex at any industrial lab.

i'm a dave's man as well. sriracha has its place, but i'm not going to buy a t-shirt and mention it in a "BACON: THE PUNCHLINE" sort of way. i can't tell if they've made it less spicy, or if my tolerance has simply gone through the roof over the past several years.
