Yup.

Koda Maja - 2013-09-28

I've been on this site long enough to know exactly what was going to happen there.

The Mothership - 2013-09-28

Indeed, saw this one coming a mile away.

Koda Maja - 2013-09-28

so did the hawk.

fatatty - 2013-09-29

Saw this comment as I started watching and expected a car. Glad it was nature instead. Tragiluckily.

Dr. Lobotomy - 2013-09-28

They're sneaky...

candyheadrobot - 2013-09-28

I've never heard a rabbit scream before, up until this point I thought it was either a joke or some sort of hillbilly lore. I'm sort of sad that I can't think of it as the latter anymore...oh well, thanks Poetv!

CrimsonHyperSloth - 2013-09-28

Oh it's true, it's an awful noise. Far worse in person when they're doing it as loud as they can.

SteamPoweredKleenex - 2013-09-28

You should watch something that'll take your mind off of it. Like "Watership Down."

baleen - 2013-09-28

Had two bunnies. They like to establish dominance by digging their claws and teeth into one another and humping. It can cause blood and torn fur, and the sounds of the hissing and screams are nightmarish. When female bunnies start going through puberty, before they're fixed, it's horrible what they get up to.

Paracelsus - 2013-09-28

First time I heard it, I'm sitting on the porch with some friends. There's his horrible, horrible scream, and then a few minutes later my cat nonchalantly walked over, sat down near us, and began cleaning his paws.

Binro the Heretic - 2013-09-28

Fuck the rabbits. They breed like crazy so they can be eaten like potato chips by the predators.

Hawks are getting harder to find. Go hawk!

Pillager - 2013-09-28

Look to your roadside power lines & most high tree branches.

The Hawks in my area have quite a roadside buffet.

SteamPoweredKleenex - 2013-09-28

We once had a hawk in our front yard that had nailed a pigeon, turning the surrounding snow into a bloody mess. I wish I'd known what the hawk sound/action was for "please murder more of them and take as many squirrels as you can while you're at it."

baleen - 2013-09-28

I love bunnies but they are the world's food supply for good reason.
A female rabbit reproduces so much that the hormones that have to be pumped through their tiny little bodies end up killing them from cancer before the age of 3. When fixed they can live longer than twice that age and die pretty peacefully.

Nature is horrible.

SteamPoweredKleenex - 2013-09-28

Though rabbit is lacking in certain vitamins and minerals, so you (a person, dunno about other predators) can't survive on rabbit alone. You'd eventually "starve" for lack of other needs in your diet.

I figure it's a trade-off for being able to make mittens out of the critters.

Syd Midnight - 2013-09-28

Rabbit starvation is basically a no-carb all-protein diet, so you starve faster than if you didn't eat at all.

fatatty - 2013-09-29

Rabbits: Nature's Potato Chips

RockBolt - 2013-09-29

Rabbit starvation is only the case if you just eat the lean meat, and not the organs, eyes, brain, bone marrow, etc. I don't think that is a problem for hawks.

Riskbreaker - 2013-09-28

Fuck you nature!

Pillager - 2013-09-28

Do we have a "Hasenpfeffer" tag?

BHWW - 2013-09-28

Gmork - 2013-09-28

jangbones - 2013-09-29

no plane ever hit that rabbit

Spastic Avenger - 2013-09-28

Is it a kind of dreeeeeeeeeaaaaaammmm?

Kid Fenris - 2013-09-28

Violet! No!

If I ever release a rabbit like this, I'm standing over that little shit until it's safely in a burrow.

Mother Lumper - 2013-09-28

And I will be lying in wait within that burrow, intently wringing my hands.

boner - 2013-09-28

obscenity of nature

DriverStabby - 2013-09-28

Ha ha.

dairyqueenlatifah - 2013-09-28

This was one of those videos where you knew exactly what was going to happen but didn't really want it to. There's another video exactly like this on here, but if I recall correctly it's a mouse instead of a rabbit.

Speaking of which, does anyone know why hawks and rabbits love to hang around the suburbs so much? I live in a burb that looks exactly like this one and it's full of rabbits and hawks trying to eat them (although the rabbits here have wised up to it and only come out at night, so the hawks usually settle for feasting on yellow finches and the occasional dove).

CJH - 2013-09-28

that other video was FAKE and this one might be FAKE too yeah sorry i'm that guy honestly i can't tell with this one though, the pixels have gotten so good it's just not worth it

RockBolt - 2013-09-29

Damnit, they weren't when I posted this, and it had some good ones.

Jet Bin Fever - 2013-09-30

That little girl learned a valuable life lesson. Never love anything, because it will just die horribly in front of you.

Caminante Nocturno - 2014-03-03

I can think of at least one party in this video that is grateful for this family's kindness.
