Ugh, Facebook. Start a forum on Geocities or a Yahoo group, something with a little more dignity.

Well it's there. It was a zero effort thing.
It works for figuring out how we're going to build a site should this one ever vanish. That's all it's there for really.

Hashtag is also a good idea. I don't have a disposable Facebook so I'm a bit concerned after reports from the old times of RL stalking, but I'll keep an eye on the group if we vanish...

The Facebook is cool because I stopped friending people after friending it and my neighbor who is from Thailand, so now Facebook only ever suggests weird old PoE people and occasional random Thais for potential friends and random posts.

But I don't friend them because I feel like that is a representative Facebook situation right now and I don't want to change it.

I tried to troll them and got banned twice. The second time I came up with a joke account where I left messages as a Jamie Kennedy character and was banned after six posts. They don't fuck around there. Absolutely no tomfoolery! Or should I say ABOLUTELY AMIRITE

But seriously they build more and more hatred towards anything that disagrees with their hive queens with every year. I think they are like Something Awful 2.0 only less self aware.

The PoE-style forum code is cool because it lets you skim subject titles, so you can skip most of the flame wars and tantrums between disruptive old timers, but you can still find posts by people like Xiphias and SolRo and such who are really interesting.

I would love a better forum system here, yet I also rather enjoy the temporal nature of communication here. It allows for new users to come in and not feel like there's this entrenched group of jerks yelling at each other. It also allows me to more easily forget all the times I've embarrassed myself while drunk posting.
