A) No way is that the house from the sitcom. Who the fuck do they think they are dealing with here? B) Tracy Gold looks just like Carrie Fisher around the eyes. Does being an emotionally unwell actress who seemingly gets much better result in a particular look? C) For I second I thought I'd forgotten that Maggie Seaver is Katherine O'Hara, but luckily I was merely betrayed by poor video quality in the supermarket and/or stupidity. D) Kill. Me.
I couldn't find it online but didn't Kirk Cameron have a extra fired from a episode? I can't remember why exactly but it seemed like she either made some off hand remark that he took offense to or she was connected to a plot line that he didn't like.
Worse than that--he had Mike Seaver's love interest fired because she had appeared in Playboy. The writers had to hastily write her out of the show (I think the character stood Mike up at the altar or something) and set him up with someone new.
This knowledge brought to you by my vague memories of the Growing Pains E! True Hollywood Story.
Kirk is a lesson in what happens when the self-righteous and/or religious get into any position of power.
I'm kind of amazed he wasn't elected to the House by the Tea Party at this point. As a right-wing actor (and I use the word quite wrongly), he should be touted as the next Reagan, right?
I saw part of this a while back. It is mostly played up as a drama. Because Growing Pains was known for that. One of the many horrendously boring subplots revolves around Chrissie keeping a BIG SUPER SECRET from her family, which is that she became a smoker.
This has got to be one of the most painful to watch things ever created. I want Rifftrax on this shit.
Also, holy shit Jeremy Miller is still alive...who knew?
