When a roof leak ruined my last regular mattress, I bought a inflatable vinyl camping mattress as a temporary substitute. It ended up being so comfortable, I never bothered to get a new "permanent" mattress. That was three years ago.

I wrap it in a large canvas drop cloth and cover that with a regular fitted sheet. I can adjust the air in it for the desired firmness. I need to add a little air every month or so, but have never had a puncture or leak.

It's proven to me all those super-expensive fancy mattresses are a scam.

Maybe we should push the debt ceiling up with magnets?
