Old radio shows are an excellent way to spend a cold, rainy evening.

There seems to have been a whole generation that grew up with the fear of rats behaving like land piranha. There's this, Willard, Ben, and probably half the horror novels of James Herbert.

Not too long ago I said the zombie fad had run its course and suggested rats be the new disposable mass foes of horror games and movies.

I posted a clip from a movie adaptation of Herbert's "The Rats" to start the ball rolling.

This story would make an awesome cheesy horror flick in the same vein as "Return of the Living Dead".

Just about anything small and furry with teeth would work if done properly, but if that becomes a fad as you suggest, we can look forward to new films of about the same relative quality as "The Killer Shrews."

The fads are inevitable. It's just how Hollywood and popular culture work. We'll do rats for a while then move on to something else.

Zombie rats?
Vampire rats?
Vampire rats that sparkle?

Sanest Man Alive - 2013-10-15

How long until someone makes a horror film about a house-sized honey badger? Do I have to be the one to get it rolling?

The Chinchillas.

I WAS PROMISED SKELETONS AND THERE ARE NONE TO BE HAD. ONE STAR.

I remember reading this instead of doing my homework a few years back. Christ, what a creepy story.

Jet Bin Fever - 2013-10-16

We need more of these up here. Man I love them.
