YES! This guy is my favorite youtuber.

I find it interesting that there are commenters on this vid that are upset that one might call the police or otherwise give protest to being video'ed by a random dude, since the NSA does it 24/7.

I'm not sure that makes a compelling argument for sticking cameras in someone's face and doing something just to be an ass about it.

Adham Nu'man - 2013-10-14

He's an asshole and I don't think there is really much of a social commentary on privacy/surveillance state.

But he's got guts and some of the reactions are just downright beautiful/hilarious and now and again he just captures these random slices of urban life that are brilliant and you just don't get to see anywhere else.

His whole point (which he sort of spells out in his first video) is that there are cameras everywhere you go, so what's the problem with him filming?

A guy walks out of a drug store, where he's had 14 cameras trained on him, then gets all incensed that he's being filmed by some guy. That's downright hilarious in my book.

He's also very much enjoying the fact that people have no idea they can't be filmed in public. I used to do candid street photos and you get people sputtering the funniest made-up laws.

Also, sometimes he's just doing it for the humor like when he walks in on the Mahjong game multiple times or snakes his way through an orchestra. Either way, he's awesome.

There's a difference between a largely dispassionate surveillance system and some socially broken asshole filming you from 4 feet away. When I go into a store, I know I'm on camera and that a security guy might even be watching me, but I also know that the system is in place for a reason and if it's abused in some way, there's at least a chain of authority behind it, not to mention my going into the store is entirely optional on my part.

But some crazy conspiracy fuck actually following me with a camera that I CAN'T get away from is not remotely the same thing, even if it's supposed to be a commentary on "surveillance state" and all that nonsense. I mean, by that argument, people should be OK if I just just follow them around and scream at them under the argument "oh well, you're constantly being bombarded with noise in society so this is TOTALLY THE SAME THING." For better or worse, official surveillance serves a purpose. Crazy guy taping you in the streets because OMG NEW WORLD ORDER does not.

This guy is most definitely an asshole: a brilliant, hilarious asshole.

I love the video (I think it' s number 2 or 3) that ends with a guy telling him "Jeez, you even LOOK like a dumbfuck"

It's beyond comprehension to me that so many people start swinging fists *only* because someone is videotaping them. What other activity causes normal people to resort to violence so quickly?

yogarfield - 2013-10-14

unsolicited violence. unsolicited sex?

yogarfield - 2013-10-14

looks like some seattle in here. how awesome would it be to stalk this guy? I'M READY FOR MY CLOSE-UP.

but yeah, enjoy these videos before the inevitable droves of copy-cats show up.

baleen - 2013-10-14

Remember when cameras made people happy?

Jet Bin Fever - 2013-10-15

Ahh yeah. Like that Orlando FL convenience store one from 1988 or whatever year it was. What a wonderful time.
Every year my dad would film our Summer vacations with him and people (even strangers) would act all goofy when we would film them. It is really fun and yet sad to watch now.

WitlessJ - 2013-10-14

2:47 is creepy beyond words.

Scrotum H. Vainglorious - 2013-10-14

Protip: Carry lip balm to smear on the camera lens.

pyslexic dharmacist - 2013-10-18

I was thinking pepper spray, but it's only a matter of time before this guy runs into someone with a gun.

bopeton - 2013-10-14

Trying to put social commentary on it is misguided. He's just making people mad for our entertainment. How does this inspire so much philosophical jibber jabber?
