Wow. I thought this was a joke about maximum overdrive or christine.

I miss inspired stephen king, liked insomnia and the first three dark tower books. It and The Stand are good books.

And then there's stuff like this dreck.

you realize he didn't direct this, and the story it's based on is from the 70s, right?

sasazuka - 2013-10-26

I didn't even know another TRUCKS movie existed. I presumed it was just the international title for MAXIMUM OVERDRIVE (as well as the title of the original Stephen King short story upon which MAXIMUM OVERDRIVE was based very loosely).

I know this scene is played mostly for laughs with ketchup 'blood', so I don't feel too bad for pointing out that any RC vehicle you can get from a normal toy store is mostly plastic and could easily be punted by anyone with even below-average leg power.

Old_Zircon - 2013-10-26

I had no idea either.

Directing Maximum Overdrive was the second best thing King did (after writing The Body). There aren't enough superlatives in the English language to do Maximum Overdrive justice.

MAXIMUM OVERDRIVE was one of those movies that received dreadful reviews when it first came out (I was eleven at the time, so it came out about the same era I was starting to pay attention to movie reviews) but, if you take it for the intentional camp it is, it's quite awesome.

The one good thing to come out of Maximum Overdrive is the AC/DC song "Who Made Who?", which was released on a nice little album along with "Hells Bells" and "For Those About to Rock We Salute You".

Stephen King has pointed out that both AC/DC and the Ramones have written songs to go with his stories and that thats pretty cool whether or not you think he sucks

ITS SOMEHOW MOVING ON ITS OWN!

urbanelf - 2013-10-26

Pixar has really gone off the deep end.

Braze - 2013-10-26

Well looks like I'm not getting any sleep tonight.

Binro the Heretic - 2013-10-26

And yet, every RC vehicle I ever had as a kid would explode into pieces if it bumped into another toy.

Who knew human skulls were softer than cheap hollow plastic dinosaurs?

'Tis the anger what makes 'em hard

memedumpster - 2013-10-26

Assault and batteries included inside the box!

The Mothership - 2013-10-27

I had no idea this existed until now, and now I am a better person.
