While I agree with you mostly, did you see the ending? That elevated it to a level of humor that RLM had not previously attained. No spoilers, but it involves the polaroid that is shown of Rich Evans in the beginning of the episode.

RLM feels disappointing sometimes because they've set the bar so damn high. When they're on target, they're solid gold.
