80's animation was glorious.

This is the opening to the show. The actual animation in the show probably isn't this good.

It isn't Flash Chibi, so it has to be better than 100% of modern kids' shows.

sasazuka - 2013-11-07

I don't know about the show itself, but the intro is better-animated than the intros of the bulk of 1980s western cartoons where the animation production itself was outsourced to Japan (instead of Korea, where at least the plurality if not outright majority of both western and Japanese cartoons are animated today).

I dig the art style too. Newer stuff is wacky, rather than charming.

Xenocide - 2013-11-07

The intro was animated by a completely different studio than the rest of the show. This was a pretty standard practice on 80's cartoons: bait-and-switch kids by giving them a nice intro, then switch to three-frames-a-minute crap animated by Korea's least talented six year olds for the actual show.

My favorite Growing Pains was the one where they rescued Leonardio De Caprio from the streets and ended up adopting him in like a day. Then it turned out he had teleportation powers.

Too bad about the bionic baseball kid's actor going evangelical and tyrannizing the cast and crew with his rampant assholery, up to getting the actress playing the bionic daughter fired in the last season for dating the bionic Asian guy.

It seems like in every spy/superhero team show from the 60s all the way up through the 80s, the token black guy was always the tech expert.

I think the timeline went from Mission Impossible up until Star Trek TNG.

...wait, no. It went from the Mission Impossible tv show up until the Mission Impossible movie!

Don't forget 'Wheels' from the Burger King Kids Club.

B_Ko - 2015-01-09

Wheels was a ginger. I think you're thinking of Jaws.
