I love that there's very little scholarly information about what he's saying in the vids posted here. He's just pontificating like a man who's talking about drinking wine out of an inferior glass.

SolRo - 2013-11-08

a bit adrift? he's in the middle of the fucking pacific.

"im not entirely convinced" is the worst reasoning for anything, it's also 99% of creationist logic.

baleen - 2013-11-08

Are you implying that ninjas were created "billions of years ago." YEAH unless you have a time machine I doubt you could know that.

Old_Zircon - 2013-11-08

See, most of the ninjas died in Noah's flood, but as their bo staffs got waterlogged they sank and landed on end on the ocean floor and when the water receded they stayed,so that's how we have petrified forests after only 6000 years.

baleen - 2013-11-08

thank u Old Zircon at least there's not two ninja evolution idiots on this stupid site

Old_Zircon - 2013-11-08

If ninjas evolved how come you never see a cat ninja or a tree ninja or a ninja riding on a giant water spider? CASE CLOSED.

baleen - 2013-11-09

hahaha
yes and if you examine the fossil record you will find throwing stars mixed up with shells and other CREATED life such as mammals. When you bring this up with a evolutionist they basically talk about how they know everything but the proof is right there: You can find ninja fossils with ferns, birds AND barbarians and knights. Obviously our heros were created in the last few centuries but they are not going to be fossils.

I love this! He reminds me of me.

I agree with nearly all of his points. However, as far as the manufacturing and possession of ninja swords is concerned, this would not have been the logistical problem Mr Beige assumes it was. Ninja organizations were not composed solely of full-time killers, but would have employed a wide array of support personnel, including smiths, who would have done the clan's forging. Even if ninja clans did not have access to their own in-house ninja smiths, most enjoyed the patronage of feudal lords, so they would still have been able to acquire ninja swords in sufficient numbers to arm all of their operatives. In fact, in at least two cases, the ninjas WERE members of the aristocracy - Hattori Hanzo, the most renowned ninja in history, and Lady Mochizuki Chiyome, alleged spymistress of the Takeda clan. Both of these individuals had plenty of resources at their disposal, not to mention the full backing of two of the most powerful rulers in Japanese history - Takeda Shingen and Tokugawa Ieyasu. It's absurd to think that a man like Hattori Hanzo would have ANY trouble at all arming his ninja underlings.

Finally, Mr Beige's point rests on the supposition that ninjato were considered "contraband", and that the creation and possession of such weapons would have posed a significant risk to both the ninjas and the smiths they did business with. I do not see any evidence for this contention. Ninjato were simply short swords, similar, but generally of inferior make to, the wakizashi of the samurai cast. Like the guns of today, swords were very common amongst the ashigaru and the non-military peasantry, and possessing one would not have drawn much attention, assuming that there was even a state body in place which had both the desire, and the means, to keep tabs on such things. For much of the Golden Age of ninjitsu, there was not; remember, this was not an age of cops, wiretapping, and satellite imagery. Armed NGOs could get away with a lot more than they would today, especially in remote, mountainous provinces like Iga.

Following the Toyotomi sword ban, manufacturing, storing, and training with any type of sword (ninjato or otherwise) may have posed a problem to ninja clans, but Sengoku-era ninjas would have had no such reservations.

Raggamuffin - 2013-11-08

I wonder what it's like to not be able to enjoy anything, ever?

chumbucket - 2013-11-08

His time would be better used with a nap.

Riskbreaker - 2013-11-08

I don't see him wearing a bandana with the word "NINJA" on it. Not sure i can trust him.

Old_Zircon - 2013-11-08

Don't trust ninjas, it'll just get you in trouble.

fedex - 2013-11-09
