These guys should totally sue the Yu-Gi-Oh people for ripping off his shield and turning it into a card dispenser.

Today's Episode: "How to Get Your Parents to Buy Vytor and Vytor-related Merchandise...Please."

Jim Quin - 2013-11-25

No, no. This shit has got to be a hoax, this never actually existed, did it? It's like the Sentry, and in seven year's time we're going to be treated to the sight of Vytor doing a run-in on a Venture Bros. episode and pulling Phantom Limb in half down the middle. Right?

Caminante Nocturno - 2013-11-25

Oh my god, this really does have the evil, criminal fingerprints of Denver the Last Dinosaur all over it.

EvilHomer - 2013-11-26

Don't be mean to Vytor.

EvilHomer - 2013-11-25

Wow, the animation is A LOT better than Denver the Last Dinosaur; I wasn't expecting that! Am I crazy, or were some of the sequences actually rotoscoped?

EvilHomer - 2013-11-25

Huh, according to my research, it WAS rotoscoped! That's actually pretty badass, and I think it also explains why nobody's ever heard of this show.

Digging deeper, it appears that only three episodes of this show were ever released. The show's animation was very advanced (incorporating both early CGI and rotoscoping techniques) and so it cost a buttload to make. On top of that, there *weren't* any toys for this series; I'd assume from the look of those evil alien aerospace bikes that this was built from the ground up to be a half-hour toy commercial, but that does not appear to have been the case.

On a related note, this is the only Vytor thing I could find on DeviantArt:

Only three episodes? I recognized this from the preview image, so that must mean it either made a big impression on me or it got rerun ad nauseam by my local TV stations when I was a lad.

SteamPoweredKleenex - 2013-11-26

Also, it's not unheard of for cartoons or other IPs to expect toys to be made and structure their designs accordingly.

EvilHomer - 2013-11-26

It looked familiar to me, too, but that was probably a false positive. It only appears to have aired for a couple weeks and I'm pretty sure I would have known what this was had I seen it before.

Esperma de Mutante - 2013-11-25

I remember this! I caught the original airing while home sick from school and DAMN did child-me want some Vytor toys. Thank god this thing failed.

Watch out for that green guy! He knows what the ring is for!
