DISCLAIMER: the vampires in this movie are actually jiangshi, or Chinese hopping vampires (think Lei-Lei from Darkstalkers).

The ninjers, however, are historically accurate and exactly what you'd expect.

I used to own a different Godfrey Ho movie, with the same girls, and same hopping ghosts, but different ninjas? maybe I'm crazy.

Pretty sure he is that dude that just recuts his old movies to make "new" ones

Oddeye is correct, although Godfrey Ho was just as likely to recut other people's old movies as he was his own. It's entirely possible that you used to own a movie exactly like this one, only with different ninjas.

From his Wikipedia article:
----------------------------------

Through the 1980s and early 1990s Ho created a series of martial arts films made with a "cut-and-paste" technique, which means they were created with the help of splicing various unrelated material (including the recurring motif of absurd ninja-fighting scenes, often with little or no connection with the already disjointed plot) and dubbed more-or-less together. He would film footage for one micro-budget picture, and then edit and splice the shots together in a different order, adding in footage from the various obscure or unreleased HK, Thai, Filipino and other Asian movies (martial arts films, crime films, comedies, etc.) to fill the gaps, and then dubbing over the result to create a final product. This allowed him to create several Z movies with the budget of one, though it is often difficult to discern how much of the finished product he has actually filmed himself.

I understand what Ho does typically, but I've never seen an instance where he uses the same scenes in more than one movie. I wish i still had the VHS of the one i am thinking of, because it's so close to this, but then strangely not. He also has so many movies that it's completely possible he would reuse whole chunks of film many times.

The first Godfrey Ho movie I ever unwittingly rented was called 'clash of the ninja'. It is still by far my favorite, but the only version i can find online is a french dub. It had a really funny Lyle Alzedo type guy, and killer street preachers.
