BOOTYBOOTYBOOTYBOOTYROCKINEVERYWHURR!!!!! That was MLKs greatest line ever!

Honestly, knowing MLK's propensity for women, I'm fairly certain he'd approve of twerking.

Lighten up, grandpa!

Here we go again..

We have so many parodies of other famous leaders, who also had dreams (Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter, JFK Reloaded (face it, if you played it you probably laughed) and countless jokes made on behalf of Rodney King's famous "Can't We All Just Get Along.") People dress their cats up like dead presidents for fucks sake. Not to mention a show called "In Living Color" and the very existence of Jesse Jackson.

I doubt if King's dream was that all black people would wear suits and ties, and not listen to or appreciate a musical dance culture that has African American roots like what the bad guy from "Footloose" wanted to do with Rock and Roll. Twerking has been around for nearly 30 years, but of course it got the most attention when some white girl did it at the Video Music Awards, drawing attention away from the culture itself and the premature sexualization of our precious white middle-American soccer moms' daughters.

The photoshopping itself is questionable, but nobody besides King could say for certain. A gold chain does NOT mean that you're a ganster anymore than a tattoo makes you a lowlife or a thug. The "gang sign" looks more like a "peace" sign to me, but it could be "West Side." Point is, everyone (mostly white reporters btw) jumps to conclusions and equates a good portion of modern black culture, accepted and emulated by all non-black races, with something potentially violent and distasteful in the face of the man whose dream was universal equality. I've seen plenty of Black History Month posters with MLK, Tupac, BIG, Obama, Harriet Tubman and many other famous black artists writers and musicians, and nobody flips their lid.

Yea, I'm not sure I have a problem with this either. Also, he is totally flashing the 'W', which is anachronistic, since Ice Cube invented that, according to Ice Cube.

Jet Bin Fever - 2014-01-23

I agree with you. King was a person not a dreaming dreamer who dreamed. People weaken him by making him less than a normal, everyday person. They've done the same with a lot of folks since Jesus.

Needs "white people" tag.

I remember about a year ago some bank (I think it was Fifth Third) put billboards all over the place here in Ohio that had the presidents all caricatured, like one was Thomas Jefferson in a t-shirt flexing huge bulging ripped muscular arms, for whatever reason.

I wonder where the moral outrage over that was.
