The guy who owns the last working Scanimate in North America (if not the world, I'm pretty sure there were less than ten made) has a studio in, I think, Austin and his web site says he welcomes Scanimate fans dropping in to try it.

I can't remember the name of it, but last time PoeTV went on a Scanimate tear I did some googling and found out that analog video synths are starting to come back, and there's now a company that sells kits to build a Scanimate style modular system.

More life-like than their other animation techniques of the time, I suppose.

Unfortunately, the results were too crappy even for Hanna-Barbera, if such a thing can be believed.
