butane combusts into carbon which is black.

chairsforcheap - 2014-01-31

the snow she burned likely evaporated into invisible vapor (as you can see there is a loss of mass)

chairsforcheap - 2014-01-31

ok i'm seriously going to go outside and burn snow with a butane lighter brb

That guy - 2014-01-31

...waiting on pins and needles

yogarfield - 2014-01-31

HURRY. I NEED TO KNOW HOW WORRIED MY DOG AND I NEED TO BE.

The Mothership - 2014-01-31

YOU SAID CHEMTRAILS!!!!

Meerkat - 2014-01-31

Yes because it's much cheaper to make fake snow out of plastic than to just use water.

QUICK THROW IT OUTSIDE BEFORE IT MELTS

yogarfield - 2014-01-31

This is poisonous, mind control plastic, you sheep!

Old_Zircon - 2014-02-01

Well it's apparently cheaper for the Chinese mafia to make synthetic eggs and pass them off as real than to jsut sell real eggs, so maybe plastic snow WOULD be cheaper.

SolRo - 2014-02-02

somehow comparing a large industrial farming operation as easier than making fake eggs doesn't seem to be in the same ballpark as making snow out of water or plastic.

SteamPoweredKleenex - 2014-01-31

Awww, comments disabled. Some people just don't want to have their precious bubbles popped.

SteamPoweredKleenex - 2014-01-31

Ah, but the "Discussion" section on her channel is giving it to her with both barrels:

http://www.youtube.com/user/Div9neImages/discussion

Lots of debunking and, sadly, the usual racism.

That guy - 2014-01-31

Wait, whose precious bubbles?
Why do you assume she's not trying to pull everyone's leg?

SteamPoweredKleenex - 2014-01-31

If she's honestly trying to be funny, she's doing it amongst a LOT of other people trying to pull the same "joke."

It's chemtrail morons who don't understand science at work. I'm sure there are those that are even more susceptible in the south where snow is rare and religion/ignorance are more common than average.

Kabbage - 2014-01-31

oh my god

oh my god

infinite zest - 2014-01-31

We tried this back in college in Wisconsin but used a lithgter and can of hairspray on a snowman and it did the same thing. If she's from Chicago it's surprising that she's just figuring this out just now.

il fiore bel - 2014-02-01

Five for conspiracy trolling.

gravelstudios - 2014-02-01

I really just assumed this was a joke. Are you guys saying It's not? to me, the prospect that this is serious, and taken seriously by a large number of people, is way more frightening that fake snow.

Lurchi - 2014-02-01

there are dozens of these videos

Bort - 2014-02-01

I'll admit, I didn't know what was happening here, and I wondered if the ice was sublimating and the vapor was for some reason hard to see. So I looked it up and got an answer.

One small thing I'll give these people credit for: if it weren't for these ninnies, it would be much harder to find the correct Google search term that would quickly produce an explanation. Thanks to these guys, even if you Google for "what happens to the water when you make a snowball and then heat it with a lighter", the first link now is "Debunked: Fake Snow, Burning Snow".

BorrowedSolution - 2014-02-01

Really? You felt the need to research this?

Wow. Kudos, I guess. But wow.

Bort - 2014-02-01

I admit it, I guessed wrong what was happening, and felt I should look it up.

Raggamuffin - 2014-02-01

Assuming that you know everything, and never looking anything up because you are convinced of how smart you are is how you end up believing in stuff like "FAKE CHEMTRAIL SNOW."

Gmork - 2014-02-01

bingo raga, many here should take note

Adham Nu'man - 2014-02-01

If it's plastic why don't you put it in a saucepan or microwave and see what happens.

Adham Nu'man - 2014-02-01

Better yet, pour gasoline all over your yard and see what happens. Please post videos of the result.

BorrowedSolution - 2014-02-01

No. See, the trick is to only 'test' it in specific ways so that the end result fits your hypothesis. Otherwise it's bad science.

Adham Nu'man - 2014-02-01

Pouring gasoline all over your yard and putting a lighter to it may be bad science but is good entertainment.

SolRo - 2014-02-02

screw you adham.

that kind of thinking is responsible for what the learning channel has become.

spikestoyiu - 2014-02-01

Here is an actual back and forth on Reddit's conspiracy sub in regards to one of these "fake snow" videos:

[–]renewall 3 points 2 days ago

Lol I live in Atlanta, and have been thinking about the possibility of the storm being related to haarp, but the stuff is snow. It feels like it, looks like it, tastes like it, melts when I breathe on it long enough. It's snow. In our case, if the whole debacle was some kind of staged city crisis, it would have been done by creating traffic accidents or blockages, which wouldn't be too hard, but it's more likely that people just don't know how to drive on slick roads here. I will say that it was nice to see plenty of people helping each other out though.

[–]chemtrails666 -20 points 2 days ago

If you live in Atlanta how would you even know what real snow is like?

BorrowedSolution - 2014-02-01

Ahh, my first good laugh of the day. So stupid it's almost cute.

Kid Fenris - 2014-02-01

Now I feel dumb for not keeping up the "snow is ALIEN LICE" story I told all the kids in fourth grade. Clearly there was an audience for that.

BorrowedSolution - 2014-02-01

You never know, you may have planted the seed. Once, when I was fourteen and being a smart-ass, I started A.S.S.- Anti-Society Society in a stupid little chat room which I promptly grew bored of and left. Four years later I found them selling t-shirts. Coincidence? I fucking hope so. The alternative is that I lost a pile of e-dollars for my lack of vision.

memedumpster - 2014-02-01

Climate change denial has now become straight forward climate denial.

Every day I think to myself "fuck it, just stare at the sun for a few minutes, just so you can't see them for a while."

Riskbreaker - 2014-02-02

RAIN IS NOT REAL, IS A NWO TRICK TO PUT CHEMTRAILS IN YOUR VEGGIES AND SKIN!

Jet Bin Fever - 2014-02-04

Haha, I'd like to think she's messing with people. That makes this really fun.
