I want him to explain this back to back with his theory the government is trying to make people gay by gaying up the water supply.

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2014-02-20

Also you don't need a NWO to drive people to suicide. I suspect some LIBOR-ish antics are afoot there and we'll see a scandal unfold as the year continues.

Tough American Bouncer - 2014-02-20

Did they cut out this from the movie? I think if they had left it in, it would it made it feel much more like the original Robocop movie.

moldprince - 2014-02-20

If the remake wanted to have anything interesting/relevant to say, they should've had more stuff like this, and less Sam Jackson as "Fox News personality who also says 'motherfucker' sometimes"

SO can anyone find some more reliable info on the least insane of his claims, i.e. that at least some of the protestors are being paid off by foreign interests?

I've been checking around, and this story only seems to have been picked up by two sources: Paul Craig Roberts (the delightful Reagan-apostate; he's normally a fairly reasonable writer, but I'm not sure about his claim that a strong US presence in the Ukraine would trigger WWIII) and PrisonPlanet itself, which is just running with what Dr Roberts said. There's also another, somewhat earlier claim, that *the Ukrainian government* is paying off counter-protesters, although here again it seems to come from only one source, and the allegation-pieces are more propaganda than journalism (that doesn't mean they're wrong, of course). So what's up?

Honestly, I would be kind of shocked if this WEREN'T true. Paid activism is common enough these days; hell, just last local election time, there were some astroturfers around my area offering fifteen dollars an hour for part-time seasonal activists (I had a phone interview with one of them, but she hung up on me when I started ranting too much). I think the _real_ story here is that paid activism is so commonplace that it isn't even a story.

Konversekid - 2014-02-20

I can't really find anything on it but I would not be surprised if some information about donations being used to support people who are protesting, which is in most cases necessary for long term action to work, somehow was mistranslated or poorly expressed as being paid for their services.

SteamPoweredKleenex - 2014-02-20

What I'd say is more likely is that he's sore about things like an American Spectator editor getting nabbed trying to be an Agent Provacateur in the Occupy protests.

Because if his sort of people are doing it, then the people (lizards?) he hates MUST be doing it, only more so.

The Ukrainian government has been bought off by Putin behind the scenes to support him and not the E.U. but the majority of Ukraine wants to move ahead to the future and that means joining with the E.U. Paying some protesters to counteract the capital's major protest against this corruption is nothing new tactic wise. It's actually becoming increasingly common since the Arab Spring to produce such protests in an attempt to gain legitimacy in the press.

Chris Chan & Nick Bravo are passed their prime. Alex Jones is PoeTV's patron saint.

yogarfield - 2014-02-20

Statler and Waldorf are the patron saints. I think you mean "court jester"?

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2014-02-20

I think you mean "snake oil salesman".

yogarfield - 2014-02-20

Bingo. If I recall he hyped up iodine tablets in the wake of Fukushima, and then rolled out his own line of iodine products.

Rodents of Unusual Size - 2014-02-20

I remember that! My brother in law was besieged with requests at the Rite Aid he managed at the time for iodide tablets until I told him you can get iodide in literally any species of seaweed. He was grateful because apparently no one he knew or worked with knew this. Mainly due to misinformation put out by people like this asshole.

BUT THE SEAWEED HAS BEEN CONTAMINATED BY THE NUCLEAR OCEANS. FUKUSHIMA WAS AN INSIDE JOB AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!!

Pillager - 2014-02-20

Statler and Waldorf? Haven't seen them in years.

Court Jester? Snake Oil Salesman? No way, he's an avalanche of insanity that just keeps picking up speed.

The other day I was listening to some right wing conspiracy guy on the radio driving through central Florida (which is the DEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP south), and he was spraying the usual "Obama and the belt way are all out to get us", which segued into China's currency moving into the 'reserve currency' status for the world (its not, tho), which meant the dollar is doomed, which segued into a commercial for whatever gold selling company. Its glorious marketing, from top to bottom.
I was thinking long ago of starting a solar panel or mini-wind company and marketing it hard to people who feared the Illuminati and Big Electricity would... take away their electricity, and so they could stick it to the man while coincidentally going green. I think there might still be a hope for it.

SteamPoweredKleenex - 2014-02-21

You have to overcome their suspicion/hatred of anything remotely environmental. They'd still use incandescent light bulbs and leaded gasoline if they could, just to "piss dem lib'rulls off."
