I'll bet this game is still collecting dust in my parents' basement.. it came with some Windows software bundle for something.. maybe Windows. I think I made it to the 3 minute mark in this LP before doing something else, and never played it again. 20 years later and I'd play the whole fucking thing.

Binro the Heretic - 2014-03-04 I discovered Gahan Wilson when I bought a secondhand copy of "And Then We'll Get Him" at a flea market back around 1980 or so when I was ten or eleven. It has my all-time favorite single-panel comic ever in it.
A film crew is looking at a group of lions eating something. The director is saying to the camera operator, "You were right. That scene did call for a stuntman."
He was doing stuff like this WAY before Gary Larson made the scene.
I was delighted when I became old enough to buy adult books and found more of his work in them.

EvilHomer - 2014-03-05 I read a little National Lampoon (Christmas Vacation was the only reason I was aware of them), but my parents disapproved of The New Yorker, and by the time I was old enough to seek out these things on my own, print was dead.
It's still not much of an excuse, though. I mean, I knew Charles Addams, even though he hadn't appeared in print for decades, and of course there was my Edward Gorey obsession, you'd think somewhere along the lines he and Wilson would intersect. Wikipedia says he was big in the independent comic book scene, too (I went through an underground comix hipster phase after watching Crumb), so fuck me I had ample opportunity, why did he never come up?
Oh well, better late than never I guess. Do you have any recommendations? What's a good book to start with?

EvilHomer - 2014-03-05 Also, I checked IMDB for information on The Kid; I found it extremely enjoyable, but it turns out there are a number of VERY hostile reviews written by longtime fans of Mr Wilson. So... is that like a "thing" with Wilson fans? Is his TV show widely considered to be the Load of his oeuvre? Or are the IMDB reviews not representative of the Wilson fandom hive mind?
